St. Tammany Parish Mosquito Abatement District will receive sealed bids until 12:00 noon, Wednesday, February 19, 2020, for Jet A-1 fuel with additive. Bids will be opened at the Board of Commissioners monthly meeting, held at the District office at 62512 Airport Rd., Bldg. 23, Slidell, Louisiana 70460 at 1:00pm, Wednesday, February 19, 2020. Sealed bids should be delivered to the District office and marked “sealed bid”. Details and specifications will be mailed or emailed to interested parties upon request by calling the District office at 985-643-5050 or emailing a request to info@stpmad.org. The Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics is applicable to all bid proposals, requests for qualifications, contracts, agreements, transactions, or any other procurement or contractual matter. The District reserves the right reject any and all bids.
Bid Specifications
St. Tammany Parish Mosquito Abatement District is a tax-exempt political subdivision of the State of Louisiana. The District’s federal tax I.D. number will be given to the awarded bidder. The annual gallons used by District aircraft has historically been between 8,000 and 18,000 gallons per year, ordered 3 to 6 times per year, and at a rate of approximately 3,000 gallons per order, yet has the potential to increase or decrease depending on mosquito activity. Bids shall include the intended markup per gallon that will be added to the fuel supplier’s price when an order is placed and transportation/delivery fees shall be incorporated in this final markup per gallon figure based on 3,000 gallons per order. Per gallon fees such as UST, LUST, inspection fees, etc. and any other miscellaneous fees shall also be individually stated on the bid. The product being bid will be purchased on an “as needed” basis, determined by St. Tammany Parish Mosquito Abatement District, delivered to the above address and off-loaded/pumped directly into two 2000-gallon refueler trucks. The contract term shall be for a period of one year from the acceptance of the successful bid by the District and payment terms shall be net 10 days.
